2019-20 Jockey Club Coach Education - Community Education Programme

1st Programme of 2019-20 Jockey Club Coach Education - Community Education Programme was held on 8 July (Monday) afternoon. Students from various secondary schools who are interested in pursuing a career in sports coaching joined this programme.
Ms. Rebecca Chiu, Winner of Ladies Squash Single in 2002 Asian Games and the current Squash Coach in HKSI, was invited to share her valuable experiences in coaching to the students. This enhanced their understanding to Hong Kong sports coaching and related system.
Students also understood more about the importance of Sports Medicine and Fitness Training in sports coaching.
Ms. Rebecca Chiu, Squash Coach of the Hong Kong Sports Institute, shared her coaching experience to students from different schools.
Ms. Rebecca Chiu gave a coaching demonstration to students.
Dr. Masa Leung, Coach Education Manager, gave a presentation to students to understand the Hong Kong sports coaching system.
Mr. Xu Zheng Zheng, Sports Medicine Manager, introduced devices of Sports Medicine Centre which are utilized to enhance the performance of athletes.
Students visited Fitness Training Centre and learned about the application of fitness training for sport coaching.
Students and teachers have all enjoyed the programme and fostered a deeper understanding and interest in sports coaching.
