29th Jockey Club Elite Coaches Conference is now open for enrollment

The 29th Jockey Club Elite Coaches Conference, funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Coaching Committee and the All-China Sports Federation, will be held on 15 December 2021. As same as previous year, the conference will be recorded and uploaded to the Learning Management System “Blackboard”, with details as follows:

  1. “Preparation for and During the Games – Nutrition and Recovery” by Dr Wang Qi-rong (Researcher of the Sports Nutrition Research Centre, National Institute of Sports  Medicine, General Administration of Sport of China)
  2. “Personalized Training Strategies” by Mr Shao Guo-qiang (Assistant Head Coach, China Men’s Weightlifting Team)
  3. “Coherent Rapport between Coaches and Athletes” by Mr. Greg Koenig (Fencing Coach, Hong Kong Sports Institute)
  4. “Success of the China Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team in 2020 Tokyo Paralympics” by Mr. Hua Qing-pang, Consultant, China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities
  5. “Use of  Information Technology in Sports Training” by Dr Lee Chi-wo Daniel (Associate Director, Elite Training Science and Technology Division, Hong Kong Sports Institute)

Language Medium

Putonghua, Cantonese and English versions will be provided for all sections

Continuing Coach Education Hours Earning

:

The Hong Kong Coaching Committee will grant 8 hours of Continuing Coach Education Activity for accredited coaches

$180 (HKCC Accredited Coach)

Remarks

:

  1. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the conference’s contents and presentation order (or any part thereof) without any notice.
  2. Once the enrolment has been accepted, enrolment fee is neither refundable nor transferable.
  3. Personal data provided will be confined to processing application only.
  4. Participants will receive the Blackboard login details on 15th December 2021 for viewing recordings and complete assessments (by multiple choice questions) before 14th January 2022. Result on the number of hours accredited will be released through email by end of February 2022. If you wish to receive a printed certificate, please expect an administration fee of HK$30 and self-collection at the Hong Kong Sports Institute is required when situation allows.
  5. Participants who fail to submit assessment and evaluation questionnaire before 14th January 2022 will be considered withdrawal, and the paid fee will not be refunded and cannot be used for other purposes.
  6. In case of any dispute, the decision of Coach Education Department on the above arrangements, terms and conditions shall be final.

Non-HKCC Accredited Coach please post the completed enrolment form with a crossed cheque to Coach Education Department, Hong Kong Sports Institute, 25 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong
